HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this hands-on plant leadership role within a seafood processing and manufacturing environment . Position Overview The Assistant Plant Manager will play a critical role in supporting daily plant operations while working directly on the production floor. This position requires a hands-on leader who understands seafood processing workflows, logistics, and production efficiency. The role involves assisting with operational coordination, managing inbound and outbound product flow, and ensuring plant performance standards are consistently met. The individual must be comfortable stepping into leadership responsibilities and making operational decisions in a fast-paced production environment. Core Responsibilities Support the Plant Manager in overseeing daily production and plant operations Work directly on the production floor to maintain workflow and operational efficiency Assist with plant setup, coordination, and daily execution of production schedules Manage inbound logistics including early truck receiving and product flow Coordinate outbound shipments and ensure timely product movement Monitor production across multiple product lines to maintain quality and efficiency Uphold operational standards, safety requirements, and plant performance expectations Step into leadership decision-making responsibilities when required Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) Candidates must meet all of the following criteria to be considered: 5–10+ years of seafood processing or fish processing experience Current or recent experience as an Assistant Plant Manager, Production Supervisor, or Lead Hand within seafood operations Strong knowledge of fish species, product lines, and seafood supply chain logistics Direct experience working in a production plant environment Proven ability to manage inbound product flow and plant logistics Forklift certification required Comfortable working in a hands-on production floor environment daily Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn plant systems Stable employment history with no job hopping Candidates without direct seafood processing experience will not be considered.
