Job Title: Solutions Engineer (Client-Facing) Employment Type: Full-time Location: Torrance, California / Hybrid Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. Language Requirement: English & Japanese (Business level) Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 annually (commensurate with experience) + Benefit package, including health, vision, dental, 401K, and PTO 【 Position Summary】 IT Consulting company is seeking a client-facing Solutions Engineer with a hands-on development background to support solution design, pre-sales activities, and project delivery. This role is focused on solution design and client engagement, supported by real-world implementation experience. This position is exclusively for current or former developers. Candidates without hands-on development experience will not be considered. 【 Key Responsibilities 】 1. Client Engagement Understand client business requirements and challenges Propose practical solutions Prepare proposals, demos, and effort estimations 2. Solution Design Lead requirement gathering and business analysis Design scalable and implementable system architectures Translate business needs into technical solutions 3. Delivery Support Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful delivery Review technical designs and validate feasibility Support UAT and go-live processes 4. Technical Involvement Validate solutions based on hands-on development experience Support prototyping, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making 【 Technical Scope 】 Microsoft ecosystem (M365, Power Platform, Azure) SQL / Database (MSSQL preferred) 【 Required Qualifications 】 Mandatory: 1–3+ years of hands-on scratch development experience Experience across system development lifecycle (design development testing deployment) Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 【 Preferred Qualifications 】 Experience in client-facing roles Experience preparing proposals and estimates Python or .NET development experience 【 Important Positioning 】 This is not a pure consulting or sales role.
