This is an entry-level contract role ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to 5 years of experience seeking to launch or advance their career in project administration and account support. Overview Our client is a leading force in North American energy infrastructure development. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Specialist to provide crucial administrative and coordination support for a large-scale construction project. In this role, you will be the backbone of project accounting and documentation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial tracking and vendor communication. This position offers invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Process and track invoices, purchase orders, and change orders in accordance with project guidelines. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation for project accounts. Serve as a liaison between project management, vendors, and internal finance teams. Assist with budget tracking, expense reporting, and cost allocation. Verify contract and payment terms to ensure compliance. Prepare routine financial and administrative reports for project leads. Support the accounts payable/receivable cycle related to project expenditures. Organize and manage project-related documentation and filing systems. Requirements & Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Experience: 0-5 years of relevant experience in administrative support, accounts payable/receivable, project coordination, or a similar function. Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with ERP or financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) is a strong plus. Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work effectively in an on-site, project-team environment.
