CMM Programmer

CMM Programmer | Manufacturing | PC-DMIS | Calypso | GD&T About the Role: We are hiring a CMM Programmer to develop, test, and optimize programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure precise inspection of parts, maintain strict quality standards, and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve processes and reduce defects. Key Responsibilities: Create, test, validate, and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS, ZEISS Calypso, or similar software. Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to define measurement routines. Perform dimensional inspections , First Article Inspections (FAI), and generate detailed inspection reports. Troubleshoot measurement issues and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time and rework. Calibrate and maintain CMM equipment for reliable and repeatable results. Train operators on CMM programming best practices and inspection workflows. Required Qualifications: 2–4 years of hands-on CMM programming and operation in manufacturing. Proficiency in PC-DMIS and/or ZEISS Calypso software. Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read complex engineering drawings. Experience with dimensional inspection, FAI, and reporting . Ability to collaborate on cross-functional projects with engineering, quality, and production teams. Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering . Experience with CAD-to-CMM integration , laser scanners, or vision systems. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Lean/Six Sigma principles. Medical Device or similar industry experience.
