Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care / Rehab Float Overland Park, Kansas Contract Duration: 8 Weeks (March 9, 2026 – May 4, 2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,883.76 Schedule: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 Hours Guaranteed Position Overview Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a float position in an acute care and inpatient rehab setting in Overland Park, KS. The Physical Therapist will provide evaluations and treatments across multiple hospital units, supporting both acute care and rehabilitation patients. This role focuses on improving mobility, restoring function, and enhancing patient outcomes through individualized, evidence-based therapy interventions. The therapist will work within a collaborative rehab team and contribute to patient care across diverse clinical settings. Facility Information Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital with Inpatient Rehab Unit: Float Position (All Units Coverage) Charting System: MEDITECH Dress Code: Any color scrubs (professional appearance required) Clinical Coverage Areas Therapists will provide care for patients in: Acute care units Inpatient rehabilitation units Mobility and functional recovery cases Post-surgical and medically complex patients Key Responsibilities Perform physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments Develop individualized treatment plans Deliver therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and rehabilitation interventions Treat approximately: 8–10 acute care patients OR 4 rehab patients per day Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts, EZ stands, BITS, and Xcite systems Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation (MEDITECH) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Educate patients and families on recovery and mobility strategies Required Qualifications Active Kansas Physical Therapist License BLS Certification Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience Strong clinical and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings Experience in acute care hospital environments Familiarity with mobility assistive equipment Scheduling & Assignment Details 40 hours guaranteed per week Day Shift: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Weekend Requirement: Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday coverage No on-call requirements Important Notes Float role covering multiple hospital units High patient interaction with varied case complexity Opportunity to work with new rehab equipment (Barihab & BURT devices) Strong and supportive OT/PT team culture Facility recognized with employee awards and team excellence initiatives Compliance Requirements Candidates must complete all onboarding and compliance requirements including: Active state licensure verification BLS certification Skills checklist and competency validation Orientation and facility onboarding Why Consider This Assignment Competitive weekly compensation Short-term assignment with strong learning exposure Work across both acute care and rehab settings Access to advanced rehabilitation equipment Supportive and award-winning therapy team
