Maintenance Manager

POSITION PURPOSE: The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of maintenance practices to ensure efficient operation of plant equipment, facilities, and production processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop plant processing line layouts to support operational changes and expansions Coordinate planning and execution of plant additions and modifications Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards Provide engineering and maintenance teams with the tools, training, and resources needed to sustain operations Develop and manage capital and expense budget projects Maintain strong working relationships with contractors and vendors to ensure efficient project execution Address day-to-day operational issues in a timely and structured manner Communicate effectively with senior leadership and collaborate across departments Lead and manage direct reports to ensure alignment with overall facility operations QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, or related field Minimum of 5 years of management experience in food manufacturing, preferably with bread, batter, or fryer operations Experience with refrigeration and wastewater systems Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly Self-starter with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization Basic understanding of refrigeration principles and applications Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Familiarity with CAD systems and PLC equipment PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day May require reaching, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds Work may involve exposure to manufacturing environments requiring PPE such as safety glasses and hearing protection Exposure to temperature variations ranging from -40F to 110F Work in environments with elevated noise levels requiring hearing protection This role requires onsite work, primarily 1st shift (7AM–5PM, M–F), with occasional weekend and other shift coverage as needed Nova Talent Solutions partners with clients who are committed to equal employment opportunity.
