Plant Machine Operator (Permanent) Port Elizabeth

We are looking for a hands-on Plant Machine Operator - Manufacturing to support production by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. The role focuses on keeping machines running efficiently, producing quality output, and reducing downtime. Key Responsibilities: Operate and set up production machines in line with standard operating procedures Monitor machine performance and ensure consistent product quality and output Perform basic maintenance and assist with repairs to prevent breakdowns Identify faults and resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime Maintain production records, logs, and job cards Ensure all safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards are followed Support cost control by reducing waste and reporting any issues Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) Trade test - artisan (NQF 5) completed Up to 3 years' experience in a manufacturing or production environment Basic mechanical understanding and fault-finding ability Familiarity with production processes and machine operation Basic computer literacy (e.g. MS Office / production systems) #mycareercraft #mycareercraftjobs #jobsmycareercraft #machineoperatorjobs
