Senior Solution Engineer (Presales)

Our client, a leader in advanced data solutions, is seeking a Senior Professional Solution (Presales) Engineer to be a critical link between their innovative products and customer achievement. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with internal teams, customers, and partners globally, enabling diverse organizations across various industries to implement state-of-the-art AI, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and other sophisticated environments – whether on-premise or in the public cloud. You'll be instrumental in translating complex requirements into tangible, successful outcomes for our client's users. Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It: Own the Customer Journey: Spearhead the entire post-sales experience, from initial product sale through to full production deployment, ensuring every customer enjoys a smooth, positive, and productive onboarding with our client's solutions. Project Architect & Lead: Take the reins on deployment projects for our client's products, meticulously handling risk assessment, crafting detailed plans, scheduling deployments, and providing transparent status reports to customers and partners. Solution Visionary: Document solution specifics with precision, including comprehensive diagrams and technical specifications, expertly converting abstract client needs into concrete, end-to-end architectures. Technical Problem Solver: Leverage open-source tools and technologies, alongside your coding and scripting prowess, to develop custom workflows and address unique technical challenges encountered during projects. Collaborative Strategist: Partner with project stakeholders to identify and implement the most effective strategies for conquering intricate technological infrastructure hurdles. Quality & Efficiency Driver: Implement continuous testing and validation throughout the code, processes, and deployments to enhance efficiency and minimize potential human error. AI/HPC Deployment Specialist: Your core focus will involve deploying and managing robust AI/HPC infrastructure within Linux-based environments for both new and existing customers utilizing our client's technology. What We're Looking For: Exceptional Communicator: Stellar oral and written communication skills, with a laser focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience. Analytical Mind: Superb problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, backed by excellent documentation practices. Enterprise IT Acumen: In-depth knowledge of IT operations best practices within enterprise environments, particularly concerning mission-critical infrastructure. Automation Enthusiast: Hands-on experience with automation and cluster management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Bright, Jenkins, or xcat. Scripting Savvy: Proficient in scripting languages including Python, Bash, or Perl. Version Control Expert: Comfortable with Source Code Control Systems like GitHub and Git. Networking Pro: Experience with high-performance networking, specifically Ethernet or InfiniBand (100+Gb networks). Linux Performance Tuning: Proven ability to monitor and optimize performance on Linux systems. HPC Environment Experience: Familiarity with HPC environments and their associated cluster management tools. Parallel Filesystem Knowledge: Understanding of Parallel Filesystems (e.g., Lustre, GPFS/SpectrumScale, DDN). SDS Familiarity: Knowledge of Software Defined Storage (SDS) concepts. Kubernetes Experience: Practical experience with Kubernetes. Linux System Administrator: Demonstrable hands-on experience as a Linux Systems Administrator. Relevant Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical working experience. Trusted Advisor Persona: Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective technical presentations, architectural design discussions, and the ability to become a trusted advisor to clients (experience in sales, consulting, or Customer Success is highly valued). Knowledge Sharer: Aptitude for providing ad-hoc knowledge transfers, developing comprehensive handover materials, and confidently guiding customers during deployments.
