Human Resources Data and Analytics Specialist

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an Human Resources Data and Analytics Specialist who will serve as a key contributor within the Human Resources department. Responsibilities include leveraging data analytics to drive insights, ensuring data integrity across HR systems, supporting benefits administration, and performing routine and ad-hoc benefit audits. This role works collaboratively with HR, Payroll, Finance, and third‑party benefit partners to ensure accurate reporting, efficient processes, and a seamless employee experience. The position is based in the corporate headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, IL and includes a hybrid schedule. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Develop and maintain recurring HR dashboards, predictive HR analytics, and reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, performance indicators, demographics). Maintain the organizational charts and headcount reporting. Support predictive analytics projects to identify workforce trends, forecast hiring needs, and anticipate potential turnover risks. Analyze HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform decision‑making. Provide support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HR team for data and reporting. Collaborate with HR team members on special projects, such as optimizing data collection processes and improving reporting efficiency Generate, create, and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports. Ensure data accuracy, system compliance with data security and privacy requirements. Create, document, and improve processes to maintain high data quality standards. Troubleshoot system data issues and support system enhancements or upgrades. Process and reconcile benefit and carrier invoices. Support day-to-day benefit and COBRA administration. Complete ACA compliance reporting, dependent eligibility audits, and other regulatory requirements. Assist with benefits and HR projects such as needed, such as open enrollment. Manage expense reports for CEO as well as other senior leadership as needed. Serve as a backup for payroll and 401k administration when needed. Perform other duties and projects as required. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES Experience with HR analytics, benefits administration, and reporting. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills. Excellent technology skills: ability to create and interpret data using spreadsheets, and other relevant tools. Self-driven, motivated, and can operate with minimal direction, take initiative, and be resourceful in problem-solving.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strong customer service skills with the employees and the HR team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills. Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in human resources, Business, Analytics, Data Science or related field. 5+ years of experience in HR analytics/metrics, benefits administration, or HRIS support. Strong skills in Excel/Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas). Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, Workday, ADP, SuccessFactors). Experience utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
