Resident District Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: A leading food services and facilities management organization is seeking a strategic and energetic Resident District Manager in the Greater Portland, Oregon area. This dynamic leader will oversee operations for the Salem-Keizer School District in Salem, OR the second largest district in Oregon, serving over 43,000 students across 64 locations. The Resident District Manager is responsible for driving overall growth strategy, community engagement initiatives, and team development. Key competencies include: Exceptional communication and leadership skills Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment A collaborative mindset with a commitment to building strong client relationships WHAT YOU'LL DO: Oversee day-to-day operations, managing both on-site and remote teams Ensure delivery of high-quality food service programs Achieve financial targets and operational goals Develop and maintain strong client and customer relationships Lead strategic planning initiatives Foster a positive work environment and ensure company standards are met WHAT YOU BRING: Demonstrated leadership experience with strong employee engagement and team development Previous supervisory experience with a collaborative working style Culinary production experience with a solid foundation in safety and sanitation compliance Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong communication and customer service skills Flexibility to adapt and take on additional responsibilities as needed Proficiency in food service management systems and reporting tools Valid driver's license required Prior experience working in K–12 environments POSITION SUMMARY: Serves as the primary point of contact for a complex account with multiple locations and potentially multiple contracts. Oversees unit management performance, including budget development, client relations, sales and profitability, compliance with company policies, and staff training and development. Acts as a liaison between corporate resources and operational leadership. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of management experience Minimum of 5 years of functional experience MUST HAVE: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Prior experience working in K–12 Strong leadership and employee engagement background Supervisory experience with a collaborative approach Culinary production experience and strong safety/sanitation knowledge Proficiency in food service management systems and reporting tools Valid driver's license Minimum 5 years of management experience Minimum 5 years of functional experience RK
