Maintenance/ Service Delivery Coordinator

To support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and performance of the public space CCTV network. This role provides hands-on technical assistance, supports fault management and system monitoring, and coordinates with internal teams and external service providers. The position contributes directly to public safety, infrastructure reliability, and regulatory compliance through proactive maintenance and operational support. Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Maintenance Assist with routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance of CCTV cameras, network infrastructure, and power systems. Support fault diagnosis and perform basic troubleshooting on hardware and software issues. Assist with the installation, configuration, and testing of new CCTV equipment and system upgrades. Monitoring & Reporting Accurately log faults, maintenance activities, and incidents in relevant systems. Monitor system performance and escalate faults or risks to the Maintenance Manager. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of equipment status and service history. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and municipal teams during maintenance and upgrade activities. Provide clear and timely updates to internal stakeholders on task progress and issues. Assist in arranging access to public spaces for maintenance and installation work. Compliance & Safety Adhere to health and safety procedures during fieldwork and installations. Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations (e.g., POPIA). Support documentation and processes required for audits and compliance reviews. Inventory & Asset Management Track and manage tools, spare parts, and equipment usage. Support stocktaking and procurement processes. Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of technical assets. System Familiarity & Continuous Learning Stay updated on system changes, upgrades, and emerging technologies. Participate in training sessions and technical development initiatives. Provide feedback on system performance and opportunities for improvement. Qualifications & Experience Qualifications NQF Level 4–6 (Matric with a Technical Certificate or Diploma). Relevant certifications (advantageous): CCTV Installation & Maintenance Basic Networking (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco IT Essentials) Health & Safety (First Aid, Basic H&S Awareness) Electrical or Electronics Fundamentals Experience 2–4 years' experience in: CCTV or security system support and maintenance Field-based technical work (cabling, installations, troubleshooting) Exposure to: Public or municipal environments System installations and upgrades Fault logging and incident reporting Systems & Technical Proficiency Technical Systems CCTV systems (IP and analog) Video Management Systems (e.g., Milestone, Hikvision iVMS) Basic networking tools (IP configuration, ping, cable testers) Mobile monitoring and reporting applications Operational Tools Maintenance and monitoring platforms (e.g., Quickbase, Zabbix, Grafana) Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) Incident logging and reporting systems Basic project tools (e.g., Trello, MS Planner) Compliance Awareness Understanding of POPIA and responsible data handling Safety practices for public-space and electrical work Skills & Competencies Personal Strong attention to detail in inspections and reporting Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues Effective time management and task prioritisation Solid technical aptitude and problem-solving ability Reliable and accountable in executing responsibilities Interpersonal Clear and professional communication Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Service-oriented approach when engaging stakeholders and the public Adaptability in dynamic and fast-paced environments Ability to manage and de-escalate minor field conflicts
