Ashland, VA | $140,000 – $150,000 The Opportunity A global packaging manufacturing leader is looking for a Senior Project Lead to own the full lifecycle of major capital projects that directly shape plant performance, reliability, and long-term growth. This is a high-impact leadership role where your work influences strategic direction at the site level. You'll partner closely with operations and engineering leadership to drive complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives across a demanding manufacturing environment. Your Day-to-Day Lead end-to-end execution of CAPEX projects, delivering on scope, schedule, and budget Develop detailed project plans covering scope definition, cost estimates, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Safety, and Procurement to keep execution aligned and seamless Manage contractors, vendors, and internal teams to drive efficient delivery with minimal disruption to plant operations Oversee field execution and enforce adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards Maintain rigorous budget control, forecasting, and financial tracking in line with corporate CAPEX processes Prepare project justifications, financial models, and executive-level progress updates Identify cost-saving opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives throughout each project lifecycle Ensure all projects meet EHS standards, regulatory requirements, and company safety protocols What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field — or equivalent experience 5–7+ years managing capital projects in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment Experience in packaging, pulp & paper, or similar process-driven industries strongly preferred Proven track record leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects with measurable outcomes Strong command of project management methodologies, cost control, and scheduling practices Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industrial standards Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite Clear, confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization Ready to Apply?
