Debt Recovery Associate Attorney Location: Colorado (Bar Admission Required) Job Type: Full-Time Please note that this job will be 100% onsite for the first year, and can then move to a 100% remote role. Position Overview We are seeking a Debt Recovery Associate Attorney to join a high-performing legal team focused on collections within covenant-controlled communities (HOAs, condominiums, townhomes, and single-family homes). This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and brings strong litigation and case management experience. Key Responsibilities Manage a high-volume caseload of approximately 700 active collection matters Evaluate delinquencies and oversee case intake from initiation through resolution Handle pre- and post-trial negotiations, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR) Draft, review, and approve pleadings across county, district, and bankruptcy courts Execute post-judgment remedies, including garnishments, interrogatories, stipulations, and judicial foreclosures Represent clients in hearings, trials, and appeals as needed Conduct legal research to support case strategy and filings Monitor and assess bankruptcy filings and foreclosure proceedings Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and outcomes Supervise and support legal staff to ensure efficient workflow and case progression Maintain accurate, timely reporting and case documentation Contribute to business development efforts as needed Qualifications Active license to practice law in the State of Colorado (required) Minimum of 3 years of experience in debt recovery, legal collections, or related litigation Strong working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems Compensation & Benefits Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Short-term and long-term disability coverage Life and AD&D insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Profit-sharing plan Apply today to join a dynamic legal team with a strong pipeline of work and opportunity for growth.
