The Cloud FinOps Analyst is responsible for managing, optimizing, and forecasting cloud-related expenditures while ensuring financial accountability across cloud operations. This role bridges finance, technology, and business teams to drive cost efficiency, transparency, and value realization from cloud investments. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cloud platforms, financial analysis, and cost optimization strategies, along with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze cloud spending across platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform Develop and maintain cost allocation models, budgets, and forecasts for cloud usage Identify cost optimization opportunities, including rightsizing, reserved instances, and savings plans Collaborate with engineering, finance, and operations teams to enforce cost governance and accountability Design and implement cloud cost monitoring dashboards and reporting frameworks Conduct variance analysis between forecasted and actual cloud expenditures Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes related to cloud investments Ensure adherence to FinOps best practices and organizational financial policies Educate stakeholders on cloud cost management strategies and tools Assist in vendor management and contract optimization for cloud services Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, FinOps Certified Practitioner, or equivalent are a plus Experience 3 to 6 years of experience in cloud financial management, financial analysis, or IT cost management Experience working with major cloud providers and cost management tools Skills and Competencies Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and billing structures Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or business intelligence platforms Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and methodologies Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams Compensation Annual Salary Range: $95,000 to $140,000 USD, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and incentives Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching Generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays Remote or hybrid work flexibility Employee wellness and mental health programs Professional development, certifications, and training support Life and disability insurance coverage Home office stipend for remote employees Work Environment This role may be performed in a remote, hybrid based environment within the United States.
