Position Overview The Red Seal Millwright will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting critical production and facility equipment within a high-output processing plant. This role requires a certified trades professional with strong mechanical aptitude who can operate independently while supporting plant operations. The position involves hands-on maintenance of production systems, including refrigeration, material handling, and mechanical equipment. The Millwright will play a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting plant reliability, and ensuring equipment performance meets operational standards. Core Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve reliability Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical system issues efficiently Maintain equipment including ice machines, freezer systems, unloading systems, and dock cranes Perform welding and fabrication of custom components as required Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support plant performance Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) Candidates must meet all of the following requirements to be considered: Red Seal Millwright Certification (BC Trade Qualification) Proven experience in industrial mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting Hands-on experience working in a production or manufacturing environment Strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems independently Experience with welding and fabrication Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within plant operations Stable employment history with no job hopping Candidates without Red Seal certification or industrial maintenance experience will not be considered. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with pressure systems, refrigeration, or cooling systems Background in food processing or manufacturing environments Experience supporting plant utilities and production equipment systems Familiarity with coordinated maintenance alongside engineering teams HireNow Checklist HireNow Staffing is recruiting candidates who meet the following: Certified Red Seal Millwright (required) Strong background in industrial troubleshooting and mechanical systems Experience working in production-driven environments Hands-on experience with welding and fabrication Ability to maintain and repair complex plant equipment systems Proven reliability and long-term employment stability Candidates will be automatically declined if they: Do not hold a Red Seal Millwright certification Have only residential or light commercial experience Lack industrial troubleshooting experience Have inconsistent or short-term employment history HireNow Package Work Location: Onsite in Vancouver, British Columbia Compensation: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour Schedule & Benefits: Monday–Friday schedule with flexible start times (7:00 AM – 12:00 PM) 8-hour shifts Extended health and dental benefits Structured compensation increases based on performance Stable, long-term employment within a production facility HireNow Staffing Disclaimer HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this role.
