Content Moderator - Dutch Market

Content Moderator (Dutch + English) – ByteDance (GEC CM) Location: Lisbon, Portugal (On-site) About the Role We are looking for a Dutch-speaking Content Moderator to join ByteDance's Global E-Commerce (GEC) team in Lisbon. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and moderating online content to ensure compliance with platform policies and community standards. This is a dynamic role suited for individuals who can make fast, accurate decisions , work in a high-volume environment, and maintain quality standards. Key Responsibilities Review, analyze, and moderate user-generated content (text, images, videos) Ensure content complies with company policies and legal requirements Identify and remove inappropriate or harmful content Make quick, accurate decisions based on guidelines Handle high volumes of content, especially during peak promotion periods Collaborate with internal teams to improve moderation processes Requirements Fluency in Dutch (C1/C2) and English (B2+) Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines Understanding of e-commerce platforms and online content Ability to work under pressure and manage high workloads Empathy and strong customer service mindset Working Schedule 24/7 rotational shifts (Monday to Sunday) 3 shift patterns: 07:00 – 16:00 14:00 – 23:00 22:30 – 07:30 2 rotational days off Salary & Benefits Base Salary: 1,100€ x 14 months Meal Allowance: 7.63€ per working day Performance Bonus: 100€ x 11 months Welcome Bonus: 1,500€ Paid in 12 monthly installments during the first year Additional Benefits Health insurance from day 1 (free after 6 months) Relocation support (from outside Portugal): Shared accommodation (up to 12 months) Relocation within Portugal available only for selected language groups Who We're Looking For Candidates with strong moderation or customer support experience Individuals comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments Professionals with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Candidates motivated to work in an international and multicultural setting
