About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and inspiring Lead Engineer to join our Store Operations domain. This area focuses on building and maintaining tools used by in-store teams to prepare for opening and efficiently operate while serving customers. As a Lead Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving innovation through AI and data-driven solutions. You will work at the intersection of software, hardware (e.g., cameras, sensors, beacons), and advanced analytics to generate actionable insights that improve store performance and customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership Provide hands-on technical guidance and architectural direction across teams Mentor and support engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture Drive best practices in software development, testing, and deployment AI & Machine Learning Design, build, and maintain Machine Learning models and LLM-based solutions Leverage computer vision and sensor data (e.g., cameras, beacons) to generate insights Ensure scalability and performance of AI systems in production Data & Cloud Engineering Design and manage robust data pipelines and data platforms on Google Cloud Platform Work with large-scale datasets to extract actionable business insights Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and reliability Store Technology Integration Collaborate on solutions integrating in-store hardware (cameras, IoT devices, maps) Translate real-world store operations into digital and analytical solutions Collaboration & Communication Partner with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders Translate complex technical concepts into business value Lead cross-functional initiatives and decision-making Requirements: Proven experience as a Lead Engineer / Senior Engineer in complex environments Strong expertise in AI/ML , including building and deploying production-grade models Solid understanding of data analysis and critical thinking for business applications Technical Skills Cloud & Data Platforms (GCP) BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler Dataflow, Dataform SQL, PostgreSQL Programming & Frameworks Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Jupyter Notebooks) React.js and its core principles Machine Learning & AI Experience with ML lifecycle: training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring Familiarity with LLMs and modern AI systems Testing & Quality Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and Storybook Strong understanding of data quality and validation practices Architecture & Systems Broad knowledge of software engineering, system design, and scalable architectures Experience working with hardware integrations (e.g., cameras, IoT, beacons) What We Offer: A dynamic and innovative workplace driving advancements in cutting-edge robotic technologies The opportunity to collaborate with talented cross-functional teams on meaningful and impactful projects Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package A supportive culture that fosters continuous learning, growth, and professional development Flexible hybrid working model for an optimal work-life balance 25 days of annual leave to recharge and relax An annual wellness allowance of 3,500 SEK to support your health and wellbeing
