CCTV Network Engineer

Position: CCTV Network Engineer Location: São Paulo, Brazil Employment type: Full-time Remuneration: Base salary ABOUT THE ROLE: This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and high-performing CCTV network infrastructure to support reliable surveillance operations and overall system stability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, implement, and maintain CCTV network infrastructure to ensure stability, security, and optimal performance. Manage network infrastructure including routers, firewalls, switches, and LAN environments to maintain reliable connectivity. Configure and manage High Availability VPNs to ensure secure and uninterrupted connections across locations. Collaborate closely with CCTV infrastructure teams to improve network performance, reliability, and system uptime. Monitor network performance daily using specialized tools and proactively address potential issues. Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents efficiently to minimize downtime and service disruption. Maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and configuration records, to support operations and troubleshooting. Perform firmware updates and security patches on network devices to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance. REQUIREMENTS: Native or fluent in Portuguese (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication. As well as proficiency in English (at least B2). 5–7 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or a related role. Cisco certification or equivalent professional training. Strong expertise in TCP/IP networking and switching technologies such as Ethernet, VLANs, and Spanning Tree. Solid understanding of VPN, QoS, and High Availability technologies. Experience analyzing network traffic using tools such as Wireshark. Knowledge of application-layer protocols including SNMP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS, and DHCP. Familiarity with Syslog and network monitoring practices. Understanding of security technologies such as IPSec, UTM, and DDoS protection. Working knowledge of Linux operating systems. Experience with virtualization platforms such as ESXi and Proxmox. Knowledge of routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP. Understanding of High Availability concepts such as VRRP, HSRP, VSS, VPC, and Multichassis EtherChannel. Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including shifts - 6.30am - 3.30pm, 10am - 7pm 2.30pm - 11.30pm, 10.30pm - 7.30am.
