Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring efficient workflow. Supervise and train shipping and receiving staff, providing guidance and performance feedback. Manage inventory accuracy through rigorous receiving, put-away, and cycle count processes. Coordinate outgoing shipments, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of goods for transport. Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, identifying discrepancies. Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, adhering to all safety regulations. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Generate and review shipping and receiving reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse best practices. Experience leading and motivating a team to achieve operational goals. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping software. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures relevant to warehouse operations. Bonus Qualifications - Forklift certification and experience operating various types of lift equipment. - Experience with inventory management software and barcode scanning systems. - Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. - Basic understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation.
