Key Responsibilities Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs. Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Manage supplier relationships, performance, and contract negotiations to secure favorable terms. Direct warehousing, logistics, and material handling operations for efficient material flow. Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure material availability for manufacturing schedules. Lead, mentor, and develop the materials planning, purchasing, and logistics teams. Analyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and supply chain efficiency improvements. Recommended Qualifications 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in inventory control, demand planning, and supplier relationship management. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) for materials planning and execution. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring staff. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision making and process improvement. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
