Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Train, mentor, and supervise shipping and receiving team members, providing guidance and feedback. Coordinate with production, inventory, and logistics departments to ensure timely material flow. Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, discrepancies, and proper documentation. Maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving, put-away, and shipping transactions. Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively. Implement and enforce safety procedures and best practices within the shipping and receiving area. Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation for outgoing shipments. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Familiarity with shipping software, carrier portals, and freight documentation. Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and provide training. Proficiency in using material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
