Key Responsibilities Oversee and direct the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department. Ensure accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies. Train and supervise shipping and receiving staff, providing guidance and feedback. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations. Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Inspect incoming goods for damage and verify against purchase orders. Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations within a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics setting. Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse procedures. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a shipping and receiving environment.
