Key Responsibilities Review and analyze customer Request for Quotes (RFQs), blueprints, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOMs). Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to gather accurate cost data for materials, labor, and tooling. Calculate detailed cost estimates, incorporating direct costs, overhead, and desired profit margins. Develop and prepare comprehensive, competitive, and accurate price proposals for custom manufactured parts or assemblies. Utilize ERP/MRP systems and quoting software to manage quote pipelines and generate pricing. Communicate effectively with customers regarding quote clarifications, revisions, and follow-up. Maintain detailed records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer communications. Recommended Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a quoting, estimating, or sales support role within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and material specifications. Strong understanding of manufacturing costing principles, including materials, labor, and overhead. Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel for quoting and analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction. Meticulous attention to detail and strong mathematical aptitude for accurate pricing. Bonus Qualifications Familiarity with common manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly). Proficiency with a specific ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints. Experience with advanced Excel functions for data analysis and modeling.
