Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new products. Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Assembly (DFA). Design, procure, and validate new tooling, fixtures, and equipment required for NPI. Manage and execute pilot production runs, prototypes, and first article inspections. Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flows. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize yield, quality, and cost during the NPI phase. Facilitate the smooth transition of new products from NPI to full-scale production. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline. 3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or New Product Introduction (NPI) role. Strong understanding and application of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Proven experience in process development, validation, and optimization methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, SPC). Proficiency with CAD software for tooling, fixture design, and manufacturing process layouts. Demonstrated project management skills for leading new product launches from concept to mass production. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as robotics, automation, or additive manufacturing. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process capability and control. Experience collaborating with international manufacturing sites or global supply chains.
