Key Responsibilities Lead the transfer of new products from design to manufacturing. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and layouts for NPI projects. Collaborate with R&D and Design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT). Manage pilot production runs, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to achieve target yields and quality. Create and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and BOMs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives during the NPI phase to enhance product quality, cost, and efficiency. Provide technical support and training to production teams on new product assembly and test procedures. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical). Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Proficiency in developing, validating, and optimizing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and quality systems (e.g., FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis). Excellent project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing, robotics, advanced automation). Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or programming for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
