Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products. Utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications. Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, in inspection reports or quality management systems. Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate disposition processes. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of defects and implement corrective actions. Ensure all inspected products comply with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and industry quality standards. Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure adherence to quality requirements throughout manufacturing. Recommended Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Familiarity with quality control methodologies (e.g., SPC) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001). Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role. Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software. ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT). Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) callouts.
