Key Responsibilities Analyze customer RFQs, blueprints, and specifications to determine project scope. Calculate material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects. Prepare accurate and competitive sales quotes, proposals, and contracts. Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales to gather necessary costing data. Obtain and evaluate quotes from external suppliers for materials and services. Maintain and update quoting data within CRM or ERP systems. Follow up on submitted quotes to track status and facilitate order conversion. Recommended Qualifications Strong mathematical and analytical skills for cost calculation and margin analysis. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings (blueprints, schematics) and Bills of Material (BOMs). Experience with ERP/MRP systems for cost estimation, inventory, and production data. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations. Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly) and their associated costs. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for detailed drawing review. Demonstrated experience with advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, macros) for complex pricing models. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles for process optimization. Experience extracting and analyzing data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for cost validation.
