Energetics Engineer Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Energetics Engineer to support the development and qualification of advanced propulsion system components for aerospace applications. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with deep expertise in pyrotechnic and energetic systems, including gas generators, initiators, and igniters. The position involves working in a collaborative and innovation-driven environment focused on delivering cutting-edge technologies for both defense and commercial aerospace sectors. The ideal candidate will contribute across the full product lifecycle, ensuring safety, compliance, and high performance of all components. Key Responsibilities Develop and define requirements and technical specifications for energetic components Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety standards, and industry requirements Design, analyze, and support manufacturing processes for propellants and related systems Plan, execute, and evaluate development and qualification testing Prepare detailed test plans, documentation, and technical reports Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and qualifying energetic or pyrotechnic components Strong knowledge of verification and validation processes Familiarity with explosive and ammunition certification standards Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Additional Requirements U.S. citizenship required Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed Work Environment This is a fully onsite position based in Pontiac, Michigan.
