Key Responsibilities Operate and program advanced CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision parts. Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior machinists. Oversee daily machining operations, ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met. Perform quality inspections of finished products, ensuring adherence to blueprints, specifications, and tight tolerances. Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues, including machine malfunctions and process inefficiencies. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve part design for manufacturability. Maintain and organize tooling, fixtures, and raw materials, ensuring proper inventory levels. Recommended Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a machinist, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Expert proficiency in operating, setting up, and troubleshooting a diverse range of manual and CNC machining equipment. Advanced ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code programming, including the ability to edit, optimize, and debug CNC programs. Proven leadership and communication skills, capable of training junior machinists, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Bonus Qualifications Advanced proficiency with CAD/CAM software for complex programming. Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies. Proven experience mentoring junior machinists or developing training programs. Specialized expertise in machining exotic or difficult-to-machine materials.
