Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators. Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records. Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate containment actions. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product compliance. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes. Adhere to established quality control procedures, safety regulations, and industry standards. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators). Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles. Meticulous attention to detail and excellent analytical skills for identifying non-conformances. Basic computer proficiency for data entry, report generation, and using inspection software. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred. Bonus Qualifications Experience operating and/or programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or other automated inspection equipment. Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and software for data analysis. Proficiency in 3D CAD software for model interpretation and measurement verification. Certification in a quality standard (e.g., ASQ CQT) or Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
