Perform complex machine setups, programming, and operation of CNC and manual machinery. Ensure all machined parts meet precise quality specifications through in-process and final inspections. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, machine malfunctions, and process inefficiencies. Coordinate daily workflow and assign tasks to optimize production schedules and meet deadlines. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices within the machining department. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability. Recommended Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience as a machinist in a manufacturing setting. Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor a team of machinists. Expert proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, CAM software), setup, and operation of various machine tools. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, metrology, and quality control processes. Demonstrated problem-solving skills for machining challenges and process optimization. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adherence to safety protocols. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in advanced CAM software (e.g., 5-axis programming, complex surfacing). Experience machining exotic or difficult-to-machine materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, composites). Ability to operate and/or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Demonstrated experience in designing and fabricating custom fixtures or tooling.
