Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain critical IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage, ensuring high availability for manufacturing operations. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for shop floor systems, industrial PCs, and production-related software (e.g., MES, SCADA, PLC connectivity). Implement and manage cybersecurity measures to protect IT and operational technology (OT) environments from threats and vulnerabilities. Develop, test, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans for all critical manufacturing data and systems. Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and apply patches, updates, and upgrades to ensure optimal and secure operation of IT assets. Collaborate with production teams and external vendors to integrate new technologies and optimize existing systems to improve manufacturing efficiency. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various IT systems, adhering to security policies and compliance requirements. Recommended Qualifications Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy management. Demonstrated experience managing virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls). Experience providing IT support for manufacturing floor systems, including industrial PCs, SCADA/PLC integration, and ERP/MES system support. Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, data backup, and disaster recovery strategies. Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues, with experience in PowerShell scripting for automation. Bonus Qualifications Experience with Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Familiarity with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS, Infor). Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT, or edge computing in a production setting. Experience supporting SCADA or MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) applications. Understanding of IT compliance standards relevant to manufacturing (e.g., ISO, GxP, FDA).
