Key Responsibilities Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies. Verify received materials against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and quality specifications. Document inspection results, including acceptance or rejection, accurately in the Quality Management System (QMS). Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials according to established procedures. Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials and collaborate with suppliers/purchasing for resolution. Maintain calibration status of inspection tools and equipment, ensuring their proper use and care. Communicate inspection status and potential issues to production, purchasing, and engineering departments. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Demonstrated ability to use various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Familiarity with quality standards, sampling plans (e.g., AQL), and non-conformance reporting. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify visual and dimensional defects. Basic computer literacy for data entry and quality system documentation.
