IATF Quality Engineer | Mason, MI Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 depending on experience Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for excelling in iatf quality engineer? The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Mason that are seeking skilled IATF Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain the IATF 16949 Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance and certification. Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and ensure successful Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions. Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (8D methodology) for internal and and external quality issues. Conduct internal audits (process, product, and system) and support external IATF 16949 surveillance and re-certification audits. Develop, implement, and monitor process control plans, FMEAs, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to ensure product and process quality. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure product quality, resolve non-conformances, and drive supplier performance improvement. Interface with customers regarding quality concerns, ensure timely resolution, and promote customer satisfaction. Recommended Qualifications Deep expertise in IATF 16949 standard implementation and maintenance. Proficiency with core automotive quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA). Demonstrated experience in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Root Cause Analysis). Minimum 3-5 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
