The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Fremont seeking experienced Help Desk Technicians. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across office and production environments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with specialized manufacturing software (e.g., MES, SCADA integrations) and shop floor equipment. Diagnose and repair industrial PCs, barcode scanners, label printers, and other production floor IT peripherals. Assist with network connectivity issues impacting critical production systems and data collection devices. Document support requests, resolutions, and contribute to the IT knowledge base for common manufacturing-related problems. Manage and track IT asset inventory, including hardware deployed on the production floor. Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams or external vendors, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing operations. Recommended Qualifications Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware (PCs, peripherals, industrial scanners/printers), software (Windows OS, MS Office, manufacturing-specific applications), and basic network connectivity. Familiarity with IT systems common in manufacturing environments, such as ERP, MES, or SCADA applications. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical production staff. Experience with IT service management (ITSM) software for incident tracking, resolution, and knowledge base utilization. Ability to prioritize and resolve technical issues efficiently in a fast-paced production environment to minimize operational downtime. Bonus Qualifications Experience supporting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or MES software. Familiarity with industrial hardware (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, industrial PCs) or OT networks. Understanding of manufacturing processes and their IT/OT dependencies. Experience with ruggedized mobile devices or shop floor equipment. Awareness of manufacturing safety protocols and practices.
