Key Responsibilities Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of incoming raw materials and components. Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, blueprints, and quality specifications. Document inspection results accurately in quality management systems or inspection logs. Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials according to established procedures. Utilize and maintain various precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials. Approve and release conforming materials for production use. Recommended Qualifications Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM). Solid understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Experience identifying non-conformances and documenting inspection results accurately. Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in a manufacturing environment. Bonus Qualifications Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material receiving and tracking. Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts. Experience contributing to root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues. Certification in Quality (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector - CQI).
