The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Holland seeking First Article Inspectors who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dimensional inspection of first-off parts against engineering drawings and specifications. Utilize a wide range of precision measuring equipment, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Generate and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., AS9102). Interpret complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Document inspection results accurately, identifying and reporting non-conformances. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure part conformance. Maintain and ensure the calibration status of all inspection tools and equipment. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Expertise in operating and calibrating a wide range of precision measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMMs. Demonstrated experience creating and reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 standard or equivalent. Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and relevant industry quality standards. Ability to accurately identify non-conformances, document findings, and communicate technical information effectively. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso). ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT). Advanced understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles. Ability to perform basic statistical process control (SPC) analysis.
