Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment, including Wire and/or Sinker EDM. Load, adjust, and optimize EDM programs to achieve precise part geometries and surface finishes. Select, prepare, and install appropriate electrodes, tooling, and workholding fixtures. Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components using precision measuring instruments. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements. Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of EDM machines. Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and material usage documentation. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) for quality control. Strong understanding of EDM principles, processes, and various material properties. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols. Bonus Qualifications Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for EDM programming. Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment. Familiarity with preventative maintenance procedures for EDM machinery. Prior experience with multiple EDM technologies (e.g., Wire, Sinker, Hole Popper).
