Recommended Qualifications 2+ years of direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, G-code, and M-code. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators) for in-process quality inspection. Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting of machining issues. Strong understanding of material properties and their impact on machining processes. Bonus Qualifications Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for program generation and optimization. Proficiency in advanced metrology equipment such as CMMs or optical comparators. Demonstrated ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor machine repairs. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
