Demand Planner | Grandville, MI Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for excelling in demand planner? The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking Demand Planners who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for finished goods and raw materials using statistical models and market intelligence. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams to gather market insights and incorporate them into the demand plan. Participate actively in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align demand plans with supply capabilities and business objectives. Monitor forecast accuracy and bias, identifying root causes for significant variances and implementing corrective actions. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and new product introductions to refine forecasting methodologies. Manage inventory targets and safety stock levels to optimize service levels while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence. Communicate demand plans, significant changes, and potential risks to production, procurement, and logistics teams. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. 3-5+ years of experience in demand planning or forecasting within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning software; strong Excel skills. Demonstrated analytical and statistical skills for data interpretation and forecasting model development. Solid understanding of S&OP processes and their application in a manufacturing context. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional stakeholder engagement. Bonus Qualifications Experience with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Python/R). APICS CSCP or CPIM certification. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience participating in S&OP or IBP process improvement or implementation projects.
