The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Plainwell region seeking Electrical Engineers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test electrical systems for manufacturing equipment and processes. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical issues on production lines to minimize downtime. Program, maintain, and optimize PLC-based control systems, HMIs, and VFDs for automation. Ensure all electrical installations, modifications, and repairs comply with safety standards and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA). Lead electrical engineering projects from conception through commissioning, including scope, budget, and schedule. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to electrical systems for efficiency and reliability. Develop and maintain comprehensive electrical documentation, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI development for industrial automation. Experience with the design, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems, including VFDs, servomotors, and sensors. Strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems, motor control centers, and arc flash safety standards (e.g., NFPA 70E). Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and automation issues to minimize production downtime. Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) for creating and modifying electrical schematics and panel layouts. Bonus Qualifications Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and industrial automation systems. Familiarity with HMI/SCADA development and configuration. Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN). Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus). Experience with robotics or vision systems in a manufacturing environment.
