Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Our client is a family-owned company and leading FMCG manufacturer based in the Suffolk area. Job Role & Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support a fast-paced, automated production environment. This role focuses on maintaining plant reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement across site operations through both planned and reactive maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across electrical and mechanical systems Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise disruption to production Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards Maintain accurate maintenance records using internal systems Provide first-line support for machinery and site services Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives Work closely with management to enhance reliability and performance The Ideal Candidate will have: Strong electrical background with multi-skilled capability 18th Edition Electrical qualification Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment Proven fault-finding skills on automated equipment Hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Full UK driving licence Desirable Skills: Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost reduction Benefits Include: Competitive hourly rate with overtime available Standby/on-call payments Company van for on-call duties Bonus scheme Pension Training and development opportunities Employee benefits and wellbeing support If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please get in touch with us or apply below.
