Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes for precision part manufacturing. Load raw material bar stock into machine feeders and ensure proper setup. Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges). Make necessary offset adjustments to maintain part specifications and tolerances. Conduct routine machine cleaning, maintenance, and fluid level checks. Troubleshoot basic machine alarms and operational issues to minimize downtime. Document production output, scrap rates, and quality control data. Recommended Qualifications 2+ years of direct experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss Lathes. Proficiency in reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators). Ability to perform tool offsets, changeovers, and basic machine troubleshooting. Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for CNC machine operation. Demonstrated commitment to quality control and meticulous attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. Bonus Qualifications Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators). Basic CAD/CAM software knowledge for program review or minor edits. Proficiency in performing preventative maintenance on CNC machinery. Experience with other CNC machine types (e.g., mills, grinders) or multi-spindle machines. Participation in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
