Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to determine optimal machining strategies. Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters for various materials. Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and collision avoidance. Collaborate with machinists and manufacturing engineers to troubleshoot and refine machining processes. Maintain and update CNC program libraries and related documentation. Perform post-processing of CAM data to generate machine-specific G-code. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience in CNC mill programming. Proficiency in industry-standard CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360). Expertise in G-code and M-code programming, including manual editing and optimization. Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). In-depth knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and machining processes for diverse materials. Bonus Qualifications Experience with 4-axis or 5-axis programming. Proficiency in fixture design for CNC machining. Experience with post-processor development or editing. Knowledge of CMM programming or advanced GD&T application.
