Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis milling machines using CAM software. Generate efficient and safe tool paths, considering material properties and machine capabilities. Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding fixtures for specific part geometries. Perform program simulation and verification to ensure accuracy, prevent collisions, and optimize cycle times. Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tooling lists, and program documentation. Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to determine optimal machining strategies. Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve manufacturing processes. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for mill programming. Expertise in G-code and M-code for CNC mill operation and editing. Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T. Knowledge of cutting tool selection, feeds, and speeds for various materials. Experience in CNC mill setup, operation, and troubleshooting. Bonus Qualifications Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup and operation. Experience designing fixtures or workholding solutions. Proficiency in multi-axis (4-axis or 5-axis) programming. Familiarity with post-processor editing or development.
