Key Responsibilities Oversee the organization, inventory, and maintenance of all tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and equipment. Implement and enforce tool control policies and procedures to ensure accountability and prevent loss. Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance and repair activities for all tooling. Train and mentor tool room personnel on proper tool handling, maintenance, and safety procedures. Manage the procurement and stocking of consumables and spare parts for the tool room. Maintain accurate records of tool usage, repair history, and inventory levels. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure tooling meets quality and production requirements. Ensure a safe and clean working environment within the tool room. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of tooling, machining processes, and quality control. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Proficiency in inventory management and procurement systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules for tooling and equipment. Bonus Qualifications Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
