Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for automated manufacturing processes. Test, debug, and validate PLC code to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and control system issues on the production floor. Configure and integrate HMI/SCADA systems with PLC programs. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics and program logic. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on project requirements and solutions. Ensure all programming adheres to industry safety standards and operational best practices. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens) using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram. Experience developing and integrating HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition). Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP). Solid knowledge of industrial electrical control systems, instrumentation, and motor controls (VFDs, servo drives). Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex automation system issues, including root cause analysis. Relevant technical degree or equivalent professional experience in automation, electrical engineering, or a related field. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET) and cybersecurity best practices for OT environments. Proficiency in integrating PLCs with SQL databases or other data historians for data logging and analysis. Hands-on experience with robotic systems or machine vision integration. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing PLC code and project files. Knowledge of functional safety standards and experience programming safety PLCs.
