The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Jenison that are seeking skilled PLC Programmers. Key Responsibilities Develop, program, and debug PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) logic for automated manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing PLC programs, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications, and industrial control systems. Design, implement, and test new control system solutions and modifications based on project requirements and specifications. Perform commissioning, startup, and optimization of new and modified machinery and production lines. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for PLC programs, electrical schematics, and control system configurations. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to enhance machine performance and process efficiency. Ensure all programming and control system designs comply with safety standards, industry regulations, and company guidelines. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider) and HMI/SCADA development. Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP). Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and commissioning automation solutions in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings. Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills for complex automation systems.
