Key Responsibilities Process accurate and timely bi-weekly or weekly payroll for all manufacturing and administrative employees. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements. Administer and process all payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k) contributions, and garnishments. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or benefits. Reconcile payroll data, general ledger accounts, and timekeeping system entries to ensure accuracy. Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management, HR, and accounting departments. Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax information in a professional and timely manner. Recommended Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and wage & hour laws (FLSA). Proficiency with major payroll/HRIS software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paychex) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Demonstrated ability to accurately process complex payroll components such as shift differentials, overtime calculations, and union dues. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality. Bonus Qualifications Experience with complex pay structures common in manufacturing (e.g., shift differentials, piece-rate, production bonuses). Familiarity with ERP systems commonly used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) for payroll integration. Experience integrating payroll data with time & attendance systems like UKG/Kronos or ADP Workforce Now. Understanding of payroll's impact on manufacturing cost centers and general ledger integration.
