Key Responsibilities Lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for new products. Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews with design engineering. Design, procure, and validate production tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Plan and execute pilot production builds, analyzing data for process refinement. Validate Bill of Materials (BOM) and create comprehensive manufacturing work instructions. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges during NPI. Drive yield and quality improvements during the new product introduction phase. Facilitate the seamless transition of new products from NPI to sustained mass production. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing). 3-5+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or manufacturing engineering within a production environment. Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, Control Plans). Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in launching new products from prototype to mass production. Bonus Qualifications Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification. Proficiency with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or data analysis languages (e.g., Python, R). Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integration or advanced ERP functionalities (e.g., SAP PP/QM). Formal training or certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP). Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) or DFA (Design for Assembly) methodologies.
